Since 1956, GAR Products has produced high-quality wood furniture made by some of the most talented designers and craftsmen in America. We are dedicated to providing quality, sustainability and modern design, in every chair, barstool and table that we produce.
At GAR Products®, our main focus is always to maintain the highest standards of craftsmanship in the commercial furniture industry.
Utilizing years and years of collective furniture making expertise, all of our pieces are constructed using the finest materials available. We want you to be able to trust our work and our products, which is why we take the time to ensure the quality of every piece of furniture we produce, ensuring our customers that we are serious about our work.
Environmental Info
GAR Products is a company born in tradition and we have distinguished ourselves as a source for modern day needs. By integrating traditional manufacturing with unique green initiatives, we set ourselves apart from our competitors. We design, develop and manufacture products with constant awareness of environmental concerns. GAR Products is respectful of the consumer's desire to contribute to the protection of the environment and it is our responsibility and privilege to offer products that meet this need.
Endeavours
• In 2023 we converted all our fluorescent lighting to LED lights.
• These two initiatives combine to prevent 1.075 million pounds of carbon dioxide emissions per year.
• All scraps from our metal, foam and cardboard are recycled.
• Sawdust produced at our factory is collected and distributed to farmers to be repurposed and recycled.
• Where paper is needed, we use only 100% recycled paper.
Sustainable
The concept of sustainability encompasses ideas, aspirations, and values that continue to inspire public and private organizations to become better stewards of the environment and promote positive economic growth and social objectives.
• GAR Products have built relationships with suppliers that share our vision of responsible manufacturing.
• We work with European factories that contribute to the regeneration of Beechwood forests.
• Our in house resource library has been dedicated to vendors who incorporate fabrics from recycled material, PVC free vinyl and other Green options.
• We launched a sampling program with Wilsonart, a Greenguarded company, in order to provide matching laminates with our standard UV finishes to the A&D community, Hotel groups and Restaurant dealers.
Responsible
• GAR Products in house Ultra Violet (UV) finishing line is the most uniquely automated three dimensional UV finishing system in the industry.
• We combine UV technology with an automated electrostatic application, offering our customers the finest custom finishing available.
• Our exclusive UV finish consists of 97% solids all of which are captured in our system, resulting in GAR Products being certified under the NJ DEP’s “Green Start Program”.
The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) has developed a compliance assistance program known as Green Start to proactively help businesses comply with their environmental obligations. the program assists facility owners and operators in interpreting environmental regulations and evaluating compliance in the areas of air, water pollution control, solid and hazardous waste management, pesticide control, Right-to-Know (RTK), Toxic Catastrophe Prevention Act (TCPA), and spill containment plans under Discharge Prevention, Containment and Countermeasures (DPCC).
Committed
Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is a non-profit organization devoted to encouraging the responsible management of the world's forests. FSC sets high standards that ensure forestry is practiced in environmentally responsible, socially beneficial and economically viable way. Products bearing the FSC logo which guarantees that the wood from a certified well-managed forest, are available across the world from a variety of mills, manufacturers and distributors.
• All the catalogs and brochures printed at GAR are printed on FSC certified paper.
• Several of our chair collections are produced exclusively from FSC lumber.
Services & Maintenance
Periodic maintenance is required for all chairs, barstools, table tops and bases to ensure longevity and customer satisfaction.
Warranty may be voided if proper maintenance procedures are not followed.
